Thank you for visiting and your interest in the smaller-sized Australian Shepherd. Since 1985, Destiny has specialized in the Australian Shepherd under 18 inches tall. I first discovered the joy of owning a small Aussie with my first little blue dog, Riley. Riley was a joy to own and in typical Aussie fashion, he was a quick study, a clown, a gentleman, a guardian and my very best friend.
Riley was my companion, but I was so taken with these little Aussies that I decided to acquire a breed quality blue merle female who was related to Riley from which to start my breeding program. I named her "Kit" (RBKC Ch. Croswhite's Miss Kitty Fox, HC). Kit was a small blue female (barely 15" tall) with azure blue eyes and beautiful Aussie type who went on to become the first miniature-sized Aussie to become a conformation champion, as well as the first to be herding instinct certified by the American Herding Breeds Association. My dogs are my best friends, constant companions and breeding dogs that share my home with me since I do not have a kennel.
Destiny Aussies is located in Northern Nevada in the beautiful high desert near the base of the spectacular Sierra Nevada Mountains and Lake Tahoe. It's a beautiful setting with over 250 days of sunshine per year and a very dry climate that inhibits pesky insects, lots of fresh clean air and a small town atmosphere.
Though I specialize in the miniature-sized Aussie, my Aussies are all sizes. I register with AKC, ASCA, MASCA and ASDR. That said, please enjoy your visit through my site. I always welcome input and feedback, so I'd love to hear from you.
